FRIGID New York – Something a Little Different
FRIGID New York is an independent theater festival presented by Horse TRADE in association with EXIT Theater. As a CAFF (Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals) member, FRIGID New York has adopted the CAFF goal of providing all artists with the opportunity to present their work to the public, irrespective of the content, form or style. They also strive to make the festival as accessible and affordable as possible for members of the community to enjoy. FRIGID New York will run from 27 February through to 9 March 2008 at The Kraine Theater, The Red Room and Under St. Marks, New York City and kicks off the annual North American Fringe Circuit.

Shopping at Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar
Situated at the Beyazit Gate near the renowned Blue Mosque, Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar, or Kapali Carsisi (literally meaning “covered market”), is a shopper’s paradise. Entering the Grand Bazaar through the arches of the ancient Beyazit Gate, the treasure trove of gold, silk, brass and copper sparkling under a myriad of lights is reminiscent of stories about Aladdin’s Cave.

European Capital of Culture 2008 - Liverpool
The European Union has been choosing a city to carry the European Capital of Culture title every year since 1985. Cities such as Athens, Lisbon, Paris and Madrid have all had their year in the spotlight. Each city chosen has the opportunity to exhibit their cultural developments and cultural attractions to the world, as a European Capital of Culture. This year, the European Capital of Culture 2008 is Liverpool, and the city has been hard at work to take full advantage of promoting themselves.
