The 26th annual Horse & Carriage (Paard & Koets) exhibition is set to take place on 16, 17 and 18 November 2007 in the beautiful country of the Netherlands. This very popular equestrian event, focuses on the horse and carriage shows and competitions, but is also a trade fair for around 150 exhibitors, including service providers, vendors, commercial and non-profit organizations.
Throughout the three day event there will be a continuous stream of interesting horse shows, demonstrations and clinics to entertain and educate visitors. These will include dressage, horse and carriage driving, show jumping, western style riding, freestyle and some daring stunt riding. Not to be missed is the mini-marathon of horse & carriage, which promises to be very exciting, with five horse drivers challenging one another in the quest for victory.
Visitors to Horse & Carriage in Holland can take advantage of this opportunity to inspect, compare prices and buy a wide variety of equine products, such as trailers, fencing, riding equipment, rigging and carriage parts. There will also be paintings and other gift ideas exhibited. Kiosks will be available to give information and advice on training, nutrition, holiday venues and much more. A highlight of the exhibitions is the different carriages that will be on display including antique carriages and replicas. Exhibitors come from all over the Netherlands, the UK, Belgium, Poland, Germany, Hungary and Austria.
Studbooks have always been an essential element of Horse & Carriage where the potential of the various breeds – well-known and unfamiliar - are displayed. Visitors will have access to useful information and will have the opportunity to ask the studbook staff any questions they may have, allowing them to make an informed choice on any purchases they make. The Friesian Horse is considered to be the pride of the Netherlands and is often referred to as the Black Pearl. On both Saturday and Sunday there will be dressage shows presented featuring these stunning horses.
On Saturday and Sunday more than 250 interesting items will be auctioned, including top hats, riding boots, marathon wagons, antique carriages, carriage lamps, rigging, books and prints.
