Hi People,
A very good evening to all of you!
I got a job offer in a Norway-based software company and now I need to apply for Work Permit and/or Visa. I am currently in Bangalore, India. Age 32 years.
The job offer is for an initial probationary period of 9 months. After 9 months, it will be converted into a permanent position within the company.
I also got following documents from my employer in Oslo, Norway:
1. Offer of Employment
2. Invitation Letter
The company would be providing me a free accomdation as well.
But I am clueless as to how to proceed.
1. Do I need a Visa as well as Work Permit to enter in Norway?
2. I learn that I need to show/submit a confirmed Air Ticket in Norwegian EMbassy/consulate office at the time of submitting visa/work permit application. But my job may get continued after 9 months. So, do I need to still show a confirmed Air Ticket while applying for visa?
3. Does my employer have to fill in the Guarantee Form for residence in Norway that tells that they would be offering me a free accomdation ?
4. As of the Medical Insurance, would I get a insurance for 9 months? (A local travel agent here in Bangalore, India told me that I wont get an insurance for such a long duration and that I will need to get the insurance after my entry in Norway. Is this true? )
5. I would appreciate if someone can provide me a checklist of the documents that I need to carry with me while applying for Visa and/or Work Permit.
Thank you very much for your help in advance.
Kind regards,
Viren
