If you go to a chicken farm and see how layers (for eggs) and broilers (for meat) are kept in congested un-hygenic conditions, often in multi layer platforms, and fed a large amount of steroids to make them grow large and fast, and large amount of
anti-biotics to prevent them falling sick, you will think twice before you take the knife and fork to eat the chicken dish on the table.
On the other hand, chinese roast duck is a healthy and tasty dish to eat.Recently National Geographic broadcast an one hour article on chinese roast duct, from breeding to roasting and serving, quite interesting.
