Hitler was a meglomaniac who tried to eradicate the Jewish race, ethnics, handicapped, in fact anybody who didn`t fit into his mindset of the perfect being.
His aim was to rule the world, he built an army which was in fact an incredible war machine, in the end they were they were streched far and wide, and the rest is history.
As for being a patriot, i think the only people who would class Hitler as a patriot would be the nazis.
