Through the years, health buffs have been witnesses to the coming and going of a whole gamut of products and services that will supposedly help them lose weight and/or prevent illnesses.

Most of the time, however, these products and services don’t last long enough for users to actually see and feel the health benefits that they were promised.

Resensa Green Iced Tea does not raise any false hopes or make any empty promises, its manufacturers said. Made from 100 per cent natural green tea powder and completely pesticide-free, Resensa is a refreshing drink that is the first of its kind in the world.

It promotes the healthy habit of drinking green tea everyday in convenient, easy-to-prepare one-liter pouches.

Rich in epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), considered the most potent antioxidant ever discovered, green tea can lower cholesterol, increase the body’s rate of burning calories and enhance fat oxidation.

Antioxidants help protect the body from potentially harmful substances such as free radicals, which are naturally produced by the body and can damage tissues, cells and genes.

Benefits

Special health benefits include reducing high blood pressure, lowering blood sugar and fighting cancer.

Antioxidants protect cells from potentially damaging by-products created when oxygen is metabolized or used by the body. They may reduce the risk of some forms of cancer, heart disease and stroke.

There is also a growing body of research that suggests antioxidant-rich food and beverages may help prevent heart disease.

A recent study by cardiologists at the University of Maryland Medical Center concluded that drinking green tea may help reduce a potentially harmful constriction of blood vessels after a high-fat meal.

Dr. Mary Corretto, a lead author of the study, says consuming a high-fat meal can produce a chemical chain reaction within blood vessels, which can temporarily impair their ability to dilate or widen, which is a normal response to increased blood flow.

“However, antioxidants seem to prevent this chain reaction. Our study found that drinking green tea reduced the impact of a high-fat meal on blood vessel function,” Corretto adds.

The most drank beverage in the world after water, green tea improves skin texture and fights cavities and tooth decay.

Surveys of Asian tea drinkers also show that those who consume four to six cups of green tea a day have a lesser chance of having breast, esophagus, liver, lung and skin cancers than those who consume small amounts or never drink green tea at all.

Healthy beverage

According to Andrian Lee, president and chief executive officer of Trevoca Corp. Ltd. (the exclusive manufacturer of Resensa Green Iced Tea internationally), Resensa makes no therapeutic claims except that it is a healthy beverage that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

“Resensa is the world’s first green iced tea mix that tastes more refreshing and delicious than any powdered tea mix in the Philippine and Hongkong market today.

What we can certify is that Resensa contains 40 per cent catechin antioxidant, the highest level of antioxidant found in green tea. Simply, one glass of Resensa has more antioxidants than 100 glasses of ordinary iced tea,” Lee explains.

Resensa Green Iced Tea comes in one-liter pouches, one pack with six one-liter pouches, six-pack with 36 one-liter pouches, and the business pack with six cartons.
