4oz.(100g.) Plain Flour
4oz.(100g.) Oatmeal
2oz.(50g.) Sugar
1/2 Tsp. Baking Soda
1 Tsp. Cream of Tartar
1/2 Tsp. Cinnamon
1 Egg
pinch Salt(optional)
Milk

Mix all dry ingredients together

Add the beaten egg and mix well.

Add some milk until mixture looks like thick cream.

Using a heavy bottomed frying pan or griddle, place spoonfuls
of mixture in pan/griddle, cook on both sides until golden brown.

Serve while hot with butter and jam.

Can they be made ahead of time?

I'd like to make them for my mother this weekend....if I can make them ahead of time and warm them in the microwave, that would be helpful.

You might be able to re-heat them in the oven but I do think that the
microwave would make them a little hard !!
