When my great-great-grandfather left East Flanders, Belgium in 1880, his name was Karel HAESMAN. When he arrived in the USA, his surname became HUISMAN. His father was Bernardus Haesman, and Bernardus's father was Pieter Francis Haesman both of the Ertvelde and Assenede area. I would very much like to contact anyone with the surname HAESMAN or with information on why I can't find any HAESMANs in any of my searches. Please email me at twayneh@juno.com in the USA.
