I have a question. All of my friends say I'm Belgian, but I wanna make sure. My grandma is 100% german and my grandpa is 100% polish, but my dad was born in Belgium and lived there until he came to America. So he's technically part Belgian right? And then so am I.

You are Belgian. My father was born in NYC and his parents moved back to Belgium when he was about 9 months old. In America my father is considered American because he was born here. In Belgium he is Belgian because his parents were born there.

it's not that easy. since your grandparents aren't belgians, there is but a slight chance that your father has/had a belgian pasport, if he does, and you're younger than 18 you can ask for that nationality.

take a look here on the site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
in dutch (http://diplobel.fgov.be/Abroad/Passp...onality_nl.htm)
the same in french (http://diplobel.fgov.be/Abroad/Passp...onality_fr.htm)

or contact the Belgian Embassy in the USA (http://www.diplobel.org/usa/default.htm)
