Guillaume Steeno (born 1819) is as far back as I can trace my family. He was born in Belgium, and died in Wisconsin, USA. He married Maria Meulemans (born 1830). Maria's parents were Guilliaum Meulemans and Catherine Van Eyck.

I mainly search out the Steeno side. We feel that there was a spelling change but have no idea when. How do I go about a search in a country I have yet to visit?

Other names that I search are Franssens, Marsland, Lancelle, and Conrad. Any help on how to search outside the US would be of great help.
thanks!
Tracey Steeno

Steeno

A STEENO working group has just finished a book in DUTCH about this family. It contains 300 pages of genealogical information, starting from Stephanus STEENO x Anna BORREMANS in Neerijse end of 17th century. It will be available soon.

Lancelle

When I was growing up in Andenne (Belgium), my neighbours behind the house were named Lancelle. They had 2 children older than I, one Lisette, she should be about 59 by now, her brother (I don't remember his first name), should be about 57-58 now. You could check with city hall over there. Could be the same family?

Steeno

My grand-grand mother is Dorothee Steeno.
I don't know many things about her except she's born around 1870.
Her husband is named Auguste Borchgraeve.
Any link to what you have already ?
Thanks
