herbert evans served in World War 1 with the English Army from 1915 until 1920, after November 1918 he was stationed in Antwerp Belgium. It is understood that he married in Belgium dates etc not known.He arrived in New Zealand in 1941. He was my birth father and was born in Manchester UK in 1889 and died here in New Zealand in 1979. His 2nd marriage was to my birth mother also here in NZ in 1963. I was born in NZ in 1947 and given up for adoption
Are there any relatives of his first marriage still alive in Belgium? as I imagine a surname of Evans would be really uncommon I can be contacted by e mail nobes@xtra.co.nz
