I have been searching for many years for my g.g. grandfather's ancestors. Not knowing where his native city and/or country was, and having thoroughly searched in Germany I have noticed that there are a lot of Hoemme surnames in Sweden.

The Hömm/Hoemm/Homm surname is very rare in present day Ostfriesland, Gy. and I am thinking Hermann Gerhardt Hömm's parents may have been from your country. I would really appreciate any information any of you can give me. Hopefully, somewhere along the way I will find someone here in Sweden who is related. If so, I have extensive ancestry information on Hermann's wife which I will share, and also certain other descendancy information.
