Hi Everyone,
I am almost too embarrassed to ask but I am having real problems figuring out the Danish rail timetable and prices. I wonder could someone help me. It's not the fact that the timetable is in Danish that is throwing me - Cos I have the English version. I have 2 main difficulties. Firstly when you enter the town names into the search engine it gives you a huge choice of departure and arrival options, none of which I have ever heard of. I imagine I should be going from the hovedbanegård in Århus to Legoland and then later from there back to Vejle and on to København. My other problem is that the dates we want to go on are outside the range covered by the current timetable. I don't want to book anything, I just want to find out roughly how much it will cost me and how long it will take. Until we know how much time we need to set aside for travelling, we can't really work out how much time we are going to have left for siteseeing etc, so we can start to figure our how many nights accomodation to book in each of the 3 places we are staying. My friend and I are arriving at Århus airport on Mon 31st May 2004. We plan to stay in that city for the Monday and Tuesday nights and head to Legoland immediately after breakfast on Wednesday morning (2nd June). We know that we have to catch the train to Vejle and then get a bus to Billund but we can't figure out how much this is going to cost, how long it takes, or how often the trains and busses leave. Is there any advantage to booking in advance. We are going to stay in Lego on Wednesday night but then we are going to Copenhagen. I imagine we would be leaving sometime after lunch. So we again need to know times of trains and busses and most importantly how much it will cost. We really are trying to do this as cheap as possible. Lastly, another friend may join us with her daughter who is 7. Do children of this age travel half price. Thanks in advance Jenny

Good morning Jenny.
![]() Xesc and I are still planning to go back to Denmark in May too, but a little earlier in the month so we can go hang out on the streets of Copenhagen with the rest of the people, waving Danish and Australian, flags as the newly married royal couple pass by. I see you got your question answered on Miss Denmark already, but just wanted to make sure you knew your post wasn't overlooked. And you shouldn't be embarrassed, the DSB's web-site isn't the greatest, and I know Danes that can't figure it out! ![]() |
