For 14 years ago,I left Sweden to go and work for a Swedish embassy abroad. That year was 1989 and the same year i sent a letter to Televerket(swedish telephone company) to terminate my TV-licence.Now, one year ago I recieved a letter from Radiotjänst AB(swedish company taking care of Tv-license in sweden)asking for 11.500 swedish kronor for a tv.licence of a tv.device.I took contact with the company explaining that I did made a termination of my tv.license already 14 years ago and that anyhow i could provide evidence that I have not been living in Sweden for 14 years and that I have not had any tv.device in Sweden..Radiotjänst rejected my explanation and literally forced me to pay the licence for the tv.devise that I have never had, used,or watched.I made a complaint to the Swedish court, asking them for permission to prove the case but it was rejected, only with the announcent that my complaints were not relevant and that I should pay the bill of 11.500 Kr to Radiotjänst AB.
According to swedish Tv.licence law.
1§ YOU SHOULD PAY TV:LICENCE WHEN YOU ARE IN POSESSION OF A TVIVECE
I have not had a tv.devise in sweden since 1989.

20§ IF THERE IS REASON AND SUFFICIENT EVIDENCE FOR THE COMPANY TO DROP THE CASE;IT SHOULD DO SO.
The evicence of not living in sweden and therefor not be able to possess a tv-devise sholud be clear evidence to pass into 20§ of the Tv.licence law.

The Swedish Tv-company mantains the position that they have never recieved the letter of termination of my tv.licence and that they have been billing me since 1989.Letters and bills that I have not seen and therefor not being able to defence myself during those years.Every swedish citizen has a person-number which made able for the swedish authorities to localize the person in question.I am totally registerd in the swedish society which gives the facility to any swedish autority to contact me if needed.

As a member of a state of Europe and representing the normal europen citizen, I declared that, what It is happening to me ,is in accordance to the basic human rights an encroaching of my persona and an unrightful desicion made by a swedish autority Radiotjänst Kiruna AB.

Therefor, and herewith I ask upom my word the World court of justice if I am guilty of paying a tv-licence for a tv-device that I have never had, used or watched or for a tv-service that I have never seen.

Tasio.

Strange story indeed. First, the Radiotjänst doesn´t bill you if you are not registred. If you have not received any bills, I think that would prove that you have not been registred...

Wow. Seems like byreaucracy gone mad. Try to call the papers, the story is funny and bizarre and could make it into the tabloids.

I got a visit from Radiotjänst-"pejlare" last autumn. She wanted me to pay the license, I said that I'm allready doing that (since, in fact, I've always paid the license). She said "aha" and went off. Could be a bug in their files somewhere
