Thumbs up Count me in !

I am also opposed to the war with Iraq, the fact that North Korea are now being offered the prospect of aid, (yet have nuclear weapons) while th bombing Iraq seems to be the only solution to that country (who do not have such weapons) shows the shallow hypocrisy of this whole idea.

to be honnest

i suppose that Saddam must leave the country to save his people and this will be the unique way not to give americans any right to attack the iraqi people.
and i think that the man is not ready for that but he most do that to show that he is really sorry for what he did to his own people in north.
and the killing of many others.
but the americans love star wars and they accept to send their children for a stupide case which is to kill more innocents and to form more terrorists.

Tisaa, i agree with your last comment. But we have to think in various ways. Saddam has put a terrible dictatorship over his people. I think everyone should agree with that! But dont forget that Iraq is like a boiling tank. You have many ethnic groups, ranging from Kurds to Sheis. When you move on to a country like this, to overthrow the government, then this area will be "first comes first serve". Where everyone will try to get on top of each other because Iraqi lands are very rich. Turkey is not only against the operation because of her sake, but because of the entire regions sake. However, my personal opinion is very clear. Although i do not believe in America's active role in this area, i believe that the Saddam regime is very sick and i condemn all dictatorships! By careful and cautious planning, I think Saddam can be overthrown by a less-bloodless way, and a new Demoratic Iraqi Government can be formed, where all the ethnic-groups will be treated equally.

nice comment
but we sholdn't forget that europe has to act because i'm an arab and i can ensure you all that we accept all european intervention in the region they can have a better role... than sending comments to bush admenistration
and i cant immagine that they still do not understand this real threat...
and they have to understand that they are few miles far from all this and americans aren't consious or they dont care about that at all ...and i feel that they already established the role of their diplomates in Bagdad or better near of each oil barel.....

So you are an Arab? Which country are you from?
I'm Turkish...

The thing about Europe is that, Europe is not willing to risk any kind of war or conflict. I believe thats why they are totally hands off the region. Plus, we have to think about the fact that US will never allow those oil fields to be controlled (either directly or indirectly) by a European existence. Competition ya know..

I believe Europe has established itself as a block already, and they have already done their "imperialist" ideas in the past, they dont need anymore enemies i guess ..

hi every body
i'm very happy to receive so many comments from you all and i thank you very much for that
i'm also happy to see those people in streets and they are very good people they simply care obout our future and the future of the upcoming generation ...
what surprised me was the absence of young people in these manifistations and i can't understand why....
young in europe and america also far asia should be more active in such thing because they have the chance that they are not under siege and they have the right to express their opinions and idea while here in africa we can't cause one thing is waitting for you when you do so and i think you know it very well ........
thank you for your precious comments

Yes. If Iraq has WMD and we know that he has them because he used them against Kurdish civilians, he fired scuds with chemicals against Israel and the allies during the Gulf war.
If he still has those weapons, we must take them away from him. You all seem to forget that he already attacked Iran and invaded Kuwait. Put all petrol wells on fire and caused a major ecological disaster. From someone who used poison gas against innocent civilians we can expect that he also would use nuclear bombs. If war is the only issue, it will be war.
A few thousands of Arab immigrants and communists in the streets of some cities will change nothing, it is still the majority who decide. And this majority seems to aprove.
