Prevent the Execution of Chris Foster in Mississippi

Ron Chris Foster (m), black, aged 30, is scheduled to be executed in Mississippi on January 8, 2003, on his 31st birthday. He was sentenced to death for the 1989 murder of George Shelton. Amnesty International is deeply concerned that Chris Foster was sentenced to death for a murder committed when he was only 17 years old. International law, respected by almost every country in the world apart from the USA, prohibits the use of the death penalty against people who were under 18 at the time of the crime.
