Hi guilermoaustino, I don't think there is any website where you can learn dutch. Maybe you must just ask to a Belgian who speaks dutch...

Wink Learning Dutch

I see that you posted some time ago. Perhaps you've found free lessons by now. If not you may trying some of the Dutch-English Groups on Yahoo Groups System. I'm in several. Most of us are learning on our own but there are many native Dutch speakers in the groups who are a great help. Some even working on improving their English.

Most of the groups have very helpful files upload and links to many sights for learning dutch resources. I'm hoping to learn a little more about the Dutch language by communicating and reading at this site and possibly even gaining a few penpals who don't mind my errors.

Good luck.

Free online Dutch grammar course

Hi all,

I am a Dutch lady moving to Belgium this week (and I should be packing rather than surfing over the Internet!).

I have placed a free grammar course online http://www.gnomjas.nl/html/dutch/

It gives a clear overview of how the Dutch language works. It is not a holistic approach to learning Dutch, but I placed an abundance of links to other useful resources - including pronunciation sites with sound files. Bear in mind though, that the pronunciation on these sites is Dutch, not Flemish. If I find a Flemish pronunciation site, I will immediately add it. If anyone else finds one, I would be delighted to learn about it (if only for myself!!).

Apart from taking an interest in teaching Dutch, I am currently looking for resources to learn Flemish - Ghents to be more precise. I always thought we shared the same language, but I often find myself totally numbed by the actual language gap. Can anyone give me a good suggestion for learning (Oost-)Vlaams?

Thanks!

Kind regards,

Bien

I found an excellent Flemmish website: http://home.planetinternet.be/~rp148/gen/indexN.html

Apart from exercises for those who wish to learn Dutch, it has FLEMISH sound files.

Saluutjes,

Bieneke
