Tattoos

I have been interested in maori tatooing for a while. i am half maori but lived in canada my whole life. With little knowledge of the true meanings and culture of them, i am curious to learn more about them. A few of my questions are: can you only get them done on the islands, is there a family tatoo or tribe tatoo, are they still performed in traditional ways. There are many more details of course but that will all come in time. Thanx,

Tena Koe ~ You can get a Maori Tattoo from almost any where in the world if you know the design you want. BUT, I suggest you do it properly and go back to your roots.
