Hi,
I'm Crystal Adjani. I live in L.A. (Los Angeles, CA.) I'm a screenwriter planning a trip to NZ in September/October. I plan on immigrating over to NZ over the next year. I'm very interested in Maori culture. I've got an idea for a film and would like to hook up with a few folks to get a "real" tour of the landscape if you know what I mean. I learned a lot from reading the bulletins posted: there's a palpable energy that comes through the writing. Hope to hear from a few of you soon. Peace. |

Kia ora Crystal Adjani,
My name is Maake and I am a Maori and I live in the land of my ancestors, Tai Tokerau. This is the land of the North and prior to colonisation was the domain of the largest and strongest tribe, Nga Puhi Nui Tonu. ( Other Tribes will obviously contest this fact ) I currently work freelance as a Multimedia producer and I have made Short Films, Videos, CD-Roms, Websites etc on various topics about Maori. My goal is to eventually work full-time as Documentary maker covering topics relating to Maori and polynesians. This is probably unrealistic as funding to support this goal is not forthcoming Anyway, it sounds like you may be on the same wavelength as myself. I also have lots of interesting ideas around film both Fiction and Non-Fiction involving Maori. If you need any information or contacts for your visit. Drop me an email. auckland01@hotmail.com |
