Hi Guys!

Well the Y2K issue hasn't been a problem!

The celebrations went off, it was cloudy over much of New Zealand so first light was hard to see! But the Chatham Islands had a clear day and there is some great footage on BBC and CNN. I am watching the UK and Ireland celebrations live on BBC TV. It is going off around the globe!

Cheers

Kelvin

In't it amazing how the Y2K problem was virtually a non-event? I believe some small African countries and suchlike experienced some problems, but everyone else seems to have come through unharmed. Now - isn't there another date looming that is a harbinger of doom? Something about the way computers calibrate dates or something?
Anyway, we also know the REAL new millennium starts at the end of this year, so why don't we all start the party now?
For 24 hours the world joined in a global party full of friendship, peace and co-operation. Why should this end just because it's no longer January 1st?

Aint that the truth watchmanz? A few weeks ago I was worrying that we might need some extra spuds or something.
I wasnt convinced there would be huge problems, but I expected something.
Ive also heard rumors that the doom and gloom is gonna happen 2001. I have to ride a big roller coaster one more time before the end. I love coasters.
Yeah so lets all be lovin to each other.
bye watchmanz...........
