This message topic is empty? I don't believe it! Surely, anyone realises that the true start to the third Millenium begins at midnight NZDST 1st January 2001. NZ leads the world in changing to the new day and we enter 00:00:01 01.01.2001 at GMT 11:00:01 31.12.2001 GMT .... so this is the place to be!
Here is where you can witness the true introduction of mankind's third millenium ... stay with us as New Zealand leads the world and clicks the clock over to a new millenium full of hope for a peaceful future and prosperity for all.
In the future I hope the children realise why we did what we did, forgive us for the mistakes we undoubtedly made, and move towards a future where we all live togeter as one species on Earth instead of different races, where we are able to show affection to each other without it being regarded as a sign of weakness, where we learn that our children our our future and not a punching bag or an inconvenience, and where "Big Brother" is forever banished in favour of individual responsibility.
May we all realise that deep down, mankind has kindness as it's heart.
And may we all continue to meet here to ensure our thoughts and ideas are exposed to a large audience.

Glad you mentioned that Watchmanz, I also thought the new millennium started with the year 2001.
Do you know if there are any sites set-up with webcams for the event?
Is New Zealand planning a celebration?

I am not aware of any webcam sites specifically aimed at Millennium celebrations, and I am not aware of any celebrations either. Unfortunately, we were like the rest of the world and had a huge party last year just because the calendar year started with a 2 instead of a 1.
The first year under the system we use was called Year 1, therefore the third Millenium starts with 2001 and not 2000 as everyone would have had us believe twelve months ago.
Maybe we will all just have to have a huge party ourselves, because the rest of the world seems to be convinced by all of the Y2K hype.
