I am moving to Belgium and need to ship a half dozen boxes through the post office. It is mostly kitchen utensils, books, photos, and similar stuff. Nearly everything isn't new. Does anyone know what I will pay in duty on the boxes? Do I need to mark them "personal effects" or something like that or will that help.
Thanks! |

How many boxes are you talking about? I don't know much about the matter, but I know that it might be easier to take them along with you on the plane and pay the extra money they want for each suitcase above the accepted number of suitcases and pounds allowed. Check with the airlines. They also have cargo airlines which take only packages.

When are you leaving? What airline are you taking? Are your boxes very heavy? I called a couple airlines a few months ago because my sister-in-law was moving back to her country with a brand new baby and everything to go along with her, play pen, high chair, crib, stroller, etc... They told me the best way was to go cargo, it is why I mentioned it to you. Sorry for not having seen the number of boxes.
