I was really glad Turkey won last year, though maybe the belly-dancing helped
The best bit is the voting because the votes are announced by the most gorgrous women from each country; so last year there was a whole evening looking at beautiful Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Russian, Ukrainian, Baltic, Nordic, Czech women and... a very drunk Lorraine Kelly!

Predictions for the voting:
Despite political and historic animosities,
The UK will give a good mark to Ireland,
Germany will give a good mark to Turkey,
Poland will give a good mark to Ukraine,
Ukraine will give a good mark to Russia,
Latvia will give a good mark to Russia.

I must be psychic

You are very right regarding the voting but as you say that usualy is the hightlight of the evening

As for belly dancing...the girls were good on the evening but not the best. I like think it had something to do with Sertab Erener, the winner. She was already a big success of a singer and the fact that she was popular and known got people voting.

Ok I am admitting I am and was already a big huge fan of her's and have all her albums. Need I say more?

Yes I think Sertab deserved it, and it was fair:
The Turkish song sounded Turkish, the Spanish sounded Spanish and Tatu sounded Russian and these three got all the votes.
All the others were bland-and-soppy and identical-sounding, and deserved to finish nowhere (especially ours).

But yet again you are right with the sound of music. The Turkish entry even though it was in english and the words were not anything specialy it still had and has that known beat

I want her new album

The contest is in May. This year will be exciting as Tose Proeski is representing Macedonia and Ziljko for Serbia. They are both very good.

Is Ceca Raznatovic still making songs?
I liked her Beograd song, and OK I admit I fancy her, though I don't really know much Serbian music.

Slava Ukraini/YKPAIHI !!!!

I thought Serbia and Montenegro's was good as well, but sadly, Ireland seems to take turns with the UK at producing the worst slop.
Anyway: Well done Ruslana!!!!
Here's herself in London in January:

Was the host wearing a Davy Crocket hat?

I watched the whole programme and have to say that a very good song won, it
was better than the UK's anyway...lolol

But what annoys me is the way countries seem to vote politically, you
can't tell me this was not happening !!

Another thing the counting of votes seemed to take longer than the singing...lololol

Think next year we ought to get Elton John to enter for us...he's liable to
fit in better...hehehe
