Hello Everyone!

Im new here and just wanted to say hi! Im 22 years old and am and English male who is interested in Argentina for studying spanish, experiencing argentine culture and am interested in investment opportunities that are avialable in Argentina.
I have never actually been to Argentina but I am planning on visiting next January for spanish courses in Buenos Aires. I will probably go for a month.
Just found this Forum and wanted to know what other people thought of Argentina?
It looks real cool from what ive seen in the books ive read and the pictures I have seen.
Look forward to discussing Argentina with you all!

take care,

A month in Oz will be nice. Qld and SA are certainly two different parts of Oz that you will enjoy. So will this be your first time to Oz?

How long have you been in beautiful Argentina with its culture, beautiful citys and hot women! Have you travelled to other parts of South America? What do you think Simon should I learn a bit of Spanish before going to South America?

I have seen the pictures on those websites that are in your signature. I especially liked those in http://www.argentinaturistica.com

Hi Adam,

I havent actually been to Argentina yet but I am very keen on visiting or maybe spending a year out there!

I would definately recommend that you learn some spanish before you go although 80 per cent of South America speaks spanish in Brazil they speak Portuguese.

Argentina turistica is a nice website but sometimes takes a long time to load. Another good one I didnt mention is http://www.argentinapictorial.com

Take Care

Simon

Oh sorry I thoughtthat you were in Argentina, so where then are you Simon? Gosh a year sounds awesome!

Yes I've heard that Spanish is a must but I just wonder how different Spanish and Portuguese are.

Yes some websites just take to long to load but often worth the wait. I'll check out http://www.argentinapictorial.com and thanks for that too.

Hi Adam,

Im from the UK and I live about 1 hour train journey from London. Im just so keen to get out of the UK and do some travelling and see other parts of the world. Im keen on Argentina as it a bit different and has such an interesting culture mixes of spaniards, italians, portuguese, gaelic speaking brits, indians etc... Also the Tango looks great and would love to learn to dance like that!

What part of OZ are you from Adam?

Simon

I too am keen on that part of he world and will make that my mission after I complete Scandinavia etc. I've done quite a lot of travel myself and now would like to make a place like London a base for a few years while I travel through Scandinavia, Russia and the parts of Europe that I have so far missed. Gosh Simon we have more in common than I think. I too wud love to learn the tango! One of my favourtie movies is Scent of a Woman, have you seen it? It has a great dance scene. I just love it!

I live in Melbourne, which because of its clean water, little polution etc etc is frequently rated in the top 2 or 3 most liveable cities in the world. I live on the water's edge yet only 15 minutes from the capital's centre. It's really a great spot but I have the travel bug again and am working towards my next trip. Your trip to Argentina sounds exciting and can't wait to hear your reports back during and after the trip.

Yes I've travelled quite a lot. No, Scent of a Woman is an American movie starring Dusten Hoffman. You should get it Simon from the video shop it is worth a watch and do tell us all what you think! Will gladly have a VB or two with you should you not have departed for Argentina before I get to London....LOL.

cheers, Adam
