As an Englishman, I am glad to see that there is an England discussion forum! No more getting stick from the Scots on Scotland.com saying that there is no England.com.

Cool

I utterly agree with Adam and strongly hope that
England.com will reach great success. After all
also English Language has achieved great success
the world over and thanks to The Beatles :

Across the Universe.

So you think that English is spoken by a lot of people because of The Beatles? I always thought that it's because they speak English in the US.

Cool

Too banal, giving even more power to a country
which already has a lot of power. It makes England
become th USA's poodle. Yes sir, all the time.
Wagging the tail.

The Beatles instead with their songs such as
Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields Forever and many
others did things quintessentially English.
Without any war imposition. And no disgusting
fast food. Without any generalisation, of course.

All the best.

Lightbulb The REAL Arnie

Poodle? Is this a common English opinion?

By the way: English as a language is as prevalent throughout the world as it is solely by the heroic and unceasing efforts of the greatest space explorer mankind has ever known, ARNOLD J. RIMMER!

Hello to kyrie and all that read this,
I just singned up here and shot in to say hello. A short intro of myself: I am Bavarian, age XXVIII and interested in all and everything. I love to go every year to London for shopping, cause I think it's a great town. I love to stay in the youth hostels there, it's damn cheap. I also love travel around in the world and get some knowledge about he contries.

Hope to hear soon from anybody

Gotta agree with the idea that it's great to have a pro England place! I always feel like I am going to take a hit (in other places) if I say how great I think England is. I found it every bit as wonderful and fascinating as any other place I've been.

Would love to spend more time around Dartmoor, that was absolutely breath taking!
