Hiya artur

I am in Scotland, where are you at ??

Patrica is in Northern Ireland...that is the part that is still governed
by the British Parliament...in the same way that Scotland, Wales and
England are !!

Southern Ireland or Eire as it more often known have their own Parliament
laws and currency !!

Patrica will let me know if I have got that wrong...lol

Hmmm? As I recall it the separation happened because of over 500 years of English oppression in 1922....At least this is the story I got from Mike O'Brian at the local pub after about dozen pints of beer! He also said that the Republic wants those counties up north too! He would have said more, I'm sure, if he hadn't passed out:-)

Hello from Florida, Pat!

My dad was stationed in Belfast for a brief time during WW II in the U.S. Navy.

Mike O'Brian doesn't know the difference between British and English, AND that's weak-as-piss beer over there
No surprise, I've met pretend-Irish Americans that are too scared to visit Ireland!!
The separation happened because my grandfather joined the uprising in 1916 (though he admits he had some help)

Babzii very few people actually call the Republic of Ireland "Eire".

Your "handle" sounds...well, Russian!

Are you Russian-Irish?

Sounds Russian? It is close, it is the most Ukrainian of Ukrainian names.
The national hero/poet Taras Shevchenko and the name of the best footballer at Milan, Andrey Shevchenko.
I use the name because it combines my two passions - Ukraine and AC Milan.
I am Norman-descent Irish-family English-born, a bloody foreigner wherever I go

So far I see Florida, Belfast, Scotland... Artur where are you from?
I'll have a guess at Brasil.
