Welcome Babz..

Its nice to see you down here in England.com, nowhere near as busy as Scotland.com but we are improving...... slowly.

So where abouts in England did you come from? I live north of Manchester yuck! one of my brothers lives just outside Edinburgh and i go up as often as i can, i also take most of my holidays in Scotland mainly in the Highlands and islands, just love going north of the border. In fact im due a visit soon. Ahhhh the whisky!

Talking Hello again!

Hi Joseph!

I tried to email you through the Open Board Forum but it said that you have asked to no longer receive email from that forum.

Anyway, How are you doing? I would like to ask you if maybe I could stay with you and you could help me out? Well I hope you can because I'm trying my best to get to England, I have applied two times already at soccertrials.com (On the site it states that you must not apply more than once within a two week period) I applied on the 30\01\04 and 22\02\04. Tomorrow which is the 7\03\04 will be the third time I will apply. I'm sure they are receiving an enormous amount of applications and I just hoping that I'm lucky and they choose my application soon. On the application form they ask for your height (' & ") and weight (st & lb), see I'm 164 cm (centimeters) tall and 46 kg (kilograms) in weight. Can you please convert my height (164 cm) into (?' ?") and my weight (45 kg) into (?st ?lb) because for the two times I applied I gave my height in (cm) and weight in (kg). Please convert them for me and reply as quick as possible (I will be applying again tomorrow so please try to reply with the conversions before tomorrow or early tomorrow). It will be great if I could stay with you and I hope I can!

Please reply as soon as possible!

Geran

I have done a search for metric to imperial sizes for you and come up with this:

164 cms is 5' 3"

and
45 kg is 7 stones and 1 lb

46 kg is 7 stones and 3 lbs

Did both weights as you said 45 and 46...lol

Hy Babz..

Doncaster! that makes you a yorkshire lass

Never been to Aberdeen, bypassed it last year on my way up to Ullapool.I camped in Braemar for three nights.... beautiful spot.

Also love the Cairngorms, climbed, Ben Macdui, Cairngorm, and Cairn Toul so it was a good year. Hope to do a few more this year.

ciao

Geran.

Sorry to hear you have not got in any football acadamy as yet. You have to keep trying, but as i have said before if you could get a letter of recommendation from your football club this would help a great deal.

As for staying here, that would not be possible, i have commitments and responsibilities, plus no room.

Getting into pro-football is not as easy as one thinks, not only do you have to have skill, but also a hell of a lot of luck!

Of course a Yorkshire lass...lolololol

Braemar is too touristy for me, I prefer the quieter life...must be
age speaking...hehehe

I do like the Linn O Quoich though you can get lost in the beauty there !!

I visited Breamar in late summer and it was very quiet, but i know what you mean about " touristy".

I dont mean to be ignorant but where`s Linn O Quoich?
Theres a hell of a lot of Linn`s in Scotland, but dont know where that one is.

Thanks.

To get to the Quoich you go through Braemar onto the road to Mar Lodge, at
bridge entrance you keep going along road and across the Linn O Dee and
drive past the car park and keep going till you reach a rickerty bridge
and park just over it !!

Then you can go upstream of the Quoich and see why I love it so much !!

If you park in the said car park you can walk all the way up Glen Derry or
Glen Dee and if you are that way inclined you could be adventerous and
go to Gairngorm itself !!

I prefer just to walk a few miles and paddle in the water...lol

Yep! Ive been up Cairngorm many times but its always been from the Glenmore side (Aviemore) the problem being if you go during the school holidays it can get very busy, so i try to avoid that time of year.

Loch Morlic is such a beautiful place, surrounded by sand and caladonian pine forest`s but in recent years they have allowed a sailing club on, which has ruined the place. Having said that i still cant keep away

So i will try going up from the Breamar side, i know one thing it certainly will be less busy.
