come off it. what has new zealand given the world apart from sheep? it's too small and insignificant to be a hit on the world stage. most brits know NOTHING about new zealand. i don't even know what the capital city is! most new zealanders know a lot about the UK though.

united kingdom inventions- computers, the world wide web, the train, the jet engine, democracy, football, rugby, cricket, darts, tennis, the telephone, the television, we are the world's first industrialised country therefore inventing the modern world, we gave the world good music and good fashion and good art, etc etc etc the list goes on and on. too many things we gave the world i can't even think of them all.

new zealand inventions- ???????????????????????????

Exactly Tenshi

Kiwis know lots about UK (where not particually impressed)
UK know nothing about NZ (that's the way we prefer it actually)

Knowledge is power.

didn't a new zealander split the atom? wassn't new zealand the first country to give women the vote? didn't new zealand introduce the 40 hour working week? wassn't a new zealander one of the first people to make it to the top of mount everest? ... and didn't the greeks invent democracy? the fact that most britons don't know anything about new zealand is unsuprising considering in a poll last year 60% of british school children though mount everest was in briton. but let me be the first to thank your country for such classic tunes as bob the builder and the towering cultural achivement that was the spice girls.
