Boy's Penis Stitched Back After Donkey Bite

RABAT (Reuters) - Surgeons have managed to stitch back a Moroccan boy's penis after it was bitten off by a donkey, the official MAP news agency reported Thursday.



Professor Mouaad Mounir, chief urologist at Ibnou Toufail hospital in the southern city of Marrakesh, was quoted as saying the operation on the seven-year-old boy was carried out last week.

He said the operation had taken 45 minutes and was successful.

MAP did not say how the donkey managed to bite off the boy's penis.

A source at the hospital confirmed the agency's report, but declined to give further details.

Donkeys in Morocco are used for laborious work on farms and garbage collection and are often subject to harsh treatment.

It didn't say how old the boy was, a boy could be 4 years old or 16 years old with a penis from the size of a pea to the size of a cumcumber.

Maybe his dad was getting him circumised.

yea, Muslim. Hmm I guess they don't do circumcise. I agree with that part of Islam. I don't want anything taken off my body unless it is doing me great harm.

Actually Muslims DO circumsize their sons, as all descendants of Abraham are supposed to because of the covenant Abraham made with God (except for Christians as they made a new covenant with God). But Jews and Muslims do so at different ages.

If you all remember the story, Abraham's wife Sarah could not conceive so Sarah gave a servant named Hagar to Abraham to bear him a son. Abraham's son was named Ishmael. When Ishmael was 13 years old, God made a covenant with Abraham and told him he will have a son (Isaac) by Sarah. God told Abraham that all grown males must be circumsized right away, and all new borns must be circumsized on the 8th day after birth. So all the males, including Abraham and his son Ishmael were circumsized right away. The Muslims (descendants of Abraham through Ishmael) circumsize at 13 years of age (or at least are supposed to, I don't know if many still do at that age) and Jews circumsize at 8 days. This is all in Genesis 17:9-27.
