My partner is in prison in ENGLAND. Tobacco from Belgium was planted on him and I need help to release him.
I need proof of what the duty was on 50g packets in 1998 of Golden Virginia, Old Holborn and Drum. we think we know what it is but we need proof.

Please if anyone can help me I would be forever grateful

Maybe it was that green tobacco he imported from Holland -it wasn't Drum I guess.
Some younsters from my country told me an whole packet must have been quite expensive.

I am disabled and completely house bound. The same people who arrested him beat me up.
We have done nothing wrong and all I wanted was your help seeing as the tobacco planted came from your country. Maybe you dont want to help me you dont have to help me. You dont know me or my partner. All I wanted was your help I did not ask for nasty comments. How can he be bad if he did nothing wrong. And what have I ever done to upset you but ask for your help. If you cant help me then please dont send anymore nasty comments because I have done nothing to upset you so why should you upset me.

Hi Katrina,
I read your post and am really curious. Is tobacco illegal to import? I don't understand the crime. Could you please explain this to me?

Tobacco is not illegal to import if its for personal use. They produced tobacco in court which they did not take off him and it was more than personal use which means he must have been selling it which is illegal. I now know the rate of tax but what we need is the francs of tax. which is on every packet you open.

I am unfamiliar with this. However I would think that SOMEONE from this board should/would help you. It seems to me that you are not asking for a mountain. I wish you the best of luck in your efforts. I shall keep you in my prayers.
