Well, this expat board looks damn quiet to me? Are there any expats in Belgium,or are they all just sleeping?
I am actually Belgian, but have lived all my adult live abroad (12 years). I might move back to Belgium temporarily for personal reasons. The problem is the schools for my kids. I have a daughter in the second last year of kindergarten, and a son in the first year of primary school. They go to bilingual French-English schools. My preference for language, if I could not find a bilingual one, would be English. In the Province of Antwerp, if possible (de Kempen). And who do extra activities as music, sport, computer classes. A long list, I know, but I hope that some one could help me. Also are there any expat clubs in or near Antwerp? Even though I am 'going home', I would like to join an expat club, because that's the kind of people I have socialized with for the past 12 years. Thanks for any answers.

I was in Belgium for a year on a student exchange...
Out in de Kempen I doubt you'd find an English or French school. There are some in Brussels but unless you're earning some serious money it could cost an arm and a leg.
Item 2-travel. In Belgium the cost of travel to school is payable by you (unlike in Australia) and it costs a fortune. For a friend of mine to go 2 stations (about 8 minutes) it cost him at least 5000BEF (AUD$200) a year! The good thing is wages are higher in B...
I don't know of any ex-pats clubs and since you didn't give us your 2nd nationality I'll assume you're American as that's the way the internet seems to be.
I found an aussie one associated with the aussie embassy so I guess if you could get in contact with an embassy they would have a contact somewhere.
Good luck anyway
