Unhappy No snow

No white Christmas for Sweden
Published: 1st December 2006 11:44 CET

Stop dreaming of a white Christmas just like the ones you used to know because if you live anywhere south of Norrrland chances are it is just not going to happen this year.

“There is a less than 50 per cent chance there will be a white Christmas in the south,” SMHI’s Lars Knutsson told Expressen.

And Frosty the snowman will not be a jolly happy soul when he has to wait until January to make his annual appearance.

“We don’t see any cold winter weather approaching. Even if temperatures dip in December they will still be above normal,” said Knutsson.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, Frosty.

All that is forecast for the coming weeks is rain. The little drummer boy can bang away as much as he likes; he will not bring the snow.

But if you want to avoid dashing through the rain on a one-horse open sleigh your best bet is to haul yourself up to the great white north.

“There is a much better chance of snow there than in the south,” said Knutsson.

If the weather forcasters in Sweden are anything like in the UK, you can expect the the exact opposite........ they cant get tomorrow`s weather right.

Well we were supposed to get a flood of rain last night..still waiting. The snow is slowly melting. It always looks horrid when it melts, however, we did manage to build two giant snowmen, about eight feet tall, they are now half the men they used to be. I still want a White Christmas. I sent my request to Santa at the North Pole but he seems to be having a bit of a flooding problem up there and says that it has to do with something called Global Warming.

Yeah! a white Christmas would be nice, but the chances here will be slim, still ya never know, i wouldn`t mind a frosty Christmas............ anything but wet and bloody windy.

It looks like my howling wolf sig has gone down for some reason, so i will be putting up some festive sigs for now, starting with the snowman.
