We have just one here in Lostine and it's called, what else, the LT, or Lostine Tavern. It's a bit of a pig sty, but they do make a good sandwich and cook a decient steak.

They have a book exchange in the back, so you can get a white wine and have a read!

I think the owners should call it Lost-Inn and do away with tavern bit.

The Hunt Lane Tavern........... because the landlord keeps a perfect pint, the bar staff are all women and there is a good chippy across the road.

Ah, is a "chippy" a place where you get fish and chips?

Here in the States, "chippy" is a derrogatory term for a woman with lose morals.

Yes, cod and chips always seems to taste better after a few pints. I know the owner of the chippy and he lives near me so if i have one too many i can get a lift home, it beats walking.

It's definitely a place to buy your fish and chips in the UK.

Although I suppose you could always go transatlantic and buy your fish and chips from woman with loose morals...

Or just have some chippies with a chippy!

The Lost Inn.... that's not a bad idea! If they aren't careful they will become lost in all the peanut shells on the floor Saturday nights!

The garden of the bar by the Milanista end of the G Meazza Stadium, Milan, where the beer's great and you can sit in the pub garden watching all the Italian girls heading for the stadium, with the roar of the crowd getting louder and louder.
OR the Coogee Bay Hotel, Sydney, ten years ago, when for still unexplained reasons three of the barmaids fancied me (will never happen again, these days I'd be happy if one did).
OR the KGB bar, Bratislava.
OR the Sports Bar, Stuttgart, on sunday nights when it's full of Greeks with Greek & Turkish music all night.
OR the strangely named "Assol'" in Odessa, a three-story galleon ship on the seaside with Sturgeon kebabs to die for.
