Hello: My name (internet) is Pakapong - and I reside here in Portland, Oregon in the "states" - nice day today - and kind of cold - but nice and crisp clean air - I do love the winter. I'm sure we'll have rain here soon - probably tommorow - alway's rains quite frequently here in Portland. I work a clerical job here in town - pays the bills and have my own little apt. here in NW part of town. I am looking to travel to Belgium in Sept. - to Charlerois - never been there - but, from reading they seem to have nice public transport and it is also a bit off the regular tourist path. Also, will spend a few days in Amsterdam - that is where my plane will be landing. I will have 2-weeks paid holiday time saved up - pretty good benefits - where I work - so, basically I have 2-weeks for my venture. Well, let me know how things are for you there - and also, what town you are in, and if you have heard any good things about Charlerois. Going to Belgium only to visit Charleroi....?

Charleroi??? With all do respect... but charleroi is the worst place to visit in Belgium as a tourist. It's like I would go to the USA and only visit Harlem... would give me a bad impression of the whole USA wouldn't it? I'm not promoting the traditional tourist-like city trips... but please, if you go to Belgium... visit 'Brussels', visit 'Bruges', visit 'Antwerp', visit 'Namur'... but not Charleroi. Unless you have friends overthere, you have no reason to go there as a tourist: it is one of the ugliest and poorest cities of Belgium. It's like going to Paris or London, and just visiting the worst neighbourhoods of these fine cities.
