im just a swedish american who is also part american indian and they could have been confederate and so i read the history and i think i understand the war maybe

those were the days when duels were legal and people only lived maybe 40 years would be an average lifespan

what ive read i can see some logic in them seceding but not now ,if someone tried to secede i mean if a state tried it would be unthinkable i think

Hi Niquie! Remember several Months ago, when you were convinced that most people in America hated Bush as much as you, and that the leftist Kerry would crush him at the polls? I suggested at the time that you wait until after the election before you declare victory for your side, as I thought yours was the minority view. I'm very happy to say "I told you so" .

Seriously though, and politics aside for a moment, we got along fairly well at the other board, yet you disappeared while I was away, and left me no clue as to what happened. I did get an email asking me about comments attributed to me on yet another board, and sent a note in reply that pointed out that I never tried to undermine you on any board, but never recieved a reply from you.

I never thought for a moment that you would entirely abandon internet discussion, and I still don't know what happened on the other boards to cause such a quick exit, but I was happy to hear from others that you might still be moderating here (I never knew this place existed before).

Anyway, despite our political differences, I mostly enjoyed your company there , and I'm glad to see that you are doing well. I wish that you took the time to explain what happened, or at least reply to my email, but it is enough to know that you will see my note here, and that I wish you the best.
