Here's a link to Royal Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs page that has a basic explaination of how the polictical system in Denmark works.

Not the most exciting reading, but not so long that you get overly bored either, and besides, if you need to.. or want to understand a culture, you need to know a little something about their political system.
