the situation in the Mid-East is more political than it is religious.
But since the people live under brutal dictatorships which oppress all sorts of opposition, people use religion as the only means of retalliation.

Bin Laden's message is a political message wrapped in religion. It's definitely not religious.

now the questio here is this:
I am a muslim. I am telling you that my religion is a religion of peace. I am telling you that what was taught to me, to the muslims around me, and to every muslim I knew was about compassion and love, NOT about hate.

With all due respect, you go spin that by someone else. You can claim you were taught something all of your life all you like. I have read your Qu'ran. I KNOW what it says. If that was the book upon which I based my life, I would not be proud to claim its tenets either. But the fact remains that it is the holy book of Islam and it calls for the murder of non-Muslims. I will have to disagree with you about numbers. I will not be dead at the hand of a Muslim unless God wills it to be so. Nothing can be done to a Christian unless it passes through God first. That is why I am totally unafraid. Just as you believe that if you are martyred for Islam you will go to heaven, I know that the very second I die, I will be with the Lord. ......that Bible is full of what men THOUGHT God wanted. Not what GOD truly wants. All we know is that we are to be good to one another and not spew hate in His name.

Whatever religion we follow, if we kill in hate, it is wrong. As it is wrong to hate people because they believe differently than we do. God doesn't want that, Pamela.
