I'll answer your last question first:

It is about time people stopped expecting Christians to be weenies. We don't have to be and we need look no further than the New Testament for proof, for instance when Jesus drove the money changers out of the temple with a whip. I am certainly not advocating that Christians do that, but He certainly calls upon us to be bold, without fear.

John the Baptist is a prime example. John lost his head for taking a stance against adultery. Certainly his statements did not endear him to those of his day, but that didn't stop him.

And finally, in Rev. 3:14-16, God tells us that the worst thing we can be is lukewarm. He says He'd rather we were hot or cold than lukewarm. He also says He'll spit the lukewarms out of His mouth.

There were three people involved in those rantings against me. Of those three, the one called Niquie is the lukewarm because she is just going along with the crowd. She straddles the fence at all times so she can jump off on whichever side is in vogue at the moment. You'll note that the minute her friends stopped their diatribes, she disappeared. She is one of those people who joins the mob. In the thirties she would have been present at the lynchings of blacks; in the fifties she would have been a McCarthy supporter. Today she is anti-Christian because she perceives that to be the current trend. Should that trend swing the other way, she would just as quickly jump on the Christian bandwagon. She is to be pitied.

I have been in almost every state, all except Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Alaska, and Hawaii.

I'll have to think about what you said. I just alwasy went by that verse that said if you weren't welcome in one town to shake the dust off your feet and move on. But I guess just because some people were real outspoken against you that doesn't mean there werent others who just didn't say anything. Like me. I was reaading. I just didn't speak up. No, I've never been outside this country and now with the terrorists' acts, I'll probably never get to. I never was interested in visiting the touristy places like Rome or Paris. I always thought I'd like to go to Iceland or Norway, places not as popular with Americans. But I would rather visit Israel than any other place in the world.

Don't worry about not speaking up when those kooks were going berserk. Each person has to decide for him/herself an appropriate course of action.

But isn't it amazing the number of people who want to make sure they get the very best in everything except religion, who, in spiritual matters, believe one way is just as good as another? There are very few areas in which most people believe one way will do as good as another, yet they profess to believe this in matters of the spirit.

Let's say they need their appendix removed. Possibly a first-year medical student could prop up a medical book and bungle his way through the procedure. But would very many people settle for that? No, they would seek medical advice from a board certified surgeon with experience in appendectomies.

Even where their hair is concerned, they want the best. They go to a salon where licenses are hanging on the wall to prove the person holding the scissors knows what s/he is doing.

So where their soul is concerned, why do they not go to the one book which comes from God Himself--the Holy Bible--and get it firsthand? Why do they take the word of any joker who comes along and says it really doesn't matter if you're a Christian or a Buddhist or a Muslim, one way is just as good as another and we'll all go to heaven as long as we are kind to our fellow human beings?

I watched Brother Charles Stanley's sermon this morning and he asked for all Christians to fast and pray for our nation. A lot of the people at my church are going to do it and I wanted to ask you if you would join with us. We were planning to set tomorrow aside as a day of fasting and praying for our nation.

We need to all be of one mind and one accord just as the Bible states. Here's what we are thinking: we will not pray one way or the other about war as we leave that in the hands of God. But we will ask God to keep His hand upon our nation and help our leaders to make Godly decisions, and we will pray that God be glorified by acts carried out by our nation.

How do you feel about that?

Yes I am in agreement with all of that. When you fast do you still take juices or water only. I have always taken only water but some people take fruit juices to.

I knew there was some reason you Muslims are never very far from your camels. It is because you have mated with them so much you've all got humps on your backs in which to store water. That's what those loose garments are really hiding.

Hey, you don't mind forcing those kids to fast either, do you? A few years ago there was a case here in the U.S. where a Muslim woman went off to visit relatives for two weeks and left the children behind with the camel-mater. When she returned, the children were dead. He got so busy mating with that camel, he didn't feed those kids a single time while she was gone. Darndest thing. The whole peaceful Muslim community came forward and asked that the man not be punished because in their culture feeding children is women's work and a man can't be expected to stop mating with his camel long enough to toss the kids a granola bar.

One of your buddies just captured is probably being tortured even as we speak, more's the pity.
