mack help me out here.
Could you explain to us how in your view the war on Iraq will helpstart a worldwide war (Armegeddon) in which half the Jews In israel will be massacred and the remaining half will convert to christianity? Please clarify this issue for me (which I am assuming is the reason behind you advocating a war on Iraq). So what's going to happen again? From what i know, your religion prophesizes that the world is going to have a huge war, people are going to die, blood is going to be shed; and eventually after people are massacred, Jesus is going to come to save the world? How interesting.. This person (mack), who criticizes Islam for being a 'violent' religion, is expecting violence (bloodshed and war on a massive scale) so the prophecies of her religion can be fulfilled... Quite an 'irony' I'd say... I would also call it 'hypocracy'. Is this 'prophecy' also the underlying reason behind your vengeful hatred of Muslims and Islam? Am i right mack? Please clarify this issue for me.. Thank you... [Edited by grafix on 6th March 2003 at 05:35]

Graphix don't we have to have a final dispensation and then a rapture first ? Perhaps Dubya can rush this through rather than wait the required 1000 years or whatever ?
And I though the Nation of Islam had some odd beliefs ![]()

Grafix, you have to take the doctor's word for this.
There is nothing even remotely "theological" about the rantings of the "christian" fundamentalists.
They are caught up in their own version of reality in which they, not God, are the superstar. The "bible" becomes THEIRS and narcissism is the by-product. How many times did we hear self-congratulatory statements and "I AM RIGHT!" And I do believe Leon Balter relates here. You read and you tell me. Leon Balter MAGIC AND THE AESTHETIC ILLUSION The aesthetic illusion is the subjective experience that the content of a work of art is reality. It has an intrinsic relation to magic, an intrapsychic maneuver oriented toward modification and control of the extraspyschic world, principally through ego functioning. Magic is ontogenetically and culturally archaic, expresses the omnipotence inherent in primary narcissism, and operates according to the logic of the primary process. Magic is a constituent of all ego functioning, usually latent in later development. It may persist as an archaic feature or may be evoked regressively in global or circumscribed ways. It causes a general disinhibition of instincts and impulses attended by a sense of confidence, exhilaration, and exuberance. The aesthetic illusion is a combination of illusions: (1) that the daydream embodied by the work of art [read that "bible"] is the beholder's own, the artist [read that "God"] being ignored, and (2) that the artistically described protagonist is a real person with a real "world." The first illusion arises through the beholder's emotional-instinctual gratification from his or her own fantasy-memory constellations; the second comes about because the beholder, by taking the protagonist as proxy, mobilizes the subjective experience of the imaginary protagonist's "reality." The first illusion arises through the beholder's emotional-instinctual gratification from his or her own fantasy-memory constellations; the second comes about because the beholder, by taking the protagonist as proxy, mobilizes the subjective experience of the imaginary protagonist's "reality." The relation among the aesthetic illusion, magic, and enthusiasm is illustrated by an analytic case, J. D. Salinger's "The Laughing Man," Woody Allen's Play It Again, Sam, Don Quixote, and the medieval Cult of the Saints.

Hi Sweetie! Sorry to disappoint you, but according to the Bible, Armageddon is the war that God wages against all the people who do not do his will, including all the governments of this earth, the poor and the rich. In this way, it is not directed to one country in particular, andt the Bible does not say anything about the world converting to Christianism, specially not 1/2 of it. Panchita
