I'm looking for e-mail contact with any Jehovas Witnesses from Brussel. I'm going to go to Brussel soon (22-24.08.03). I'm from Poland (congregation from Cracow) and this is my first trip to western Europe - I'm looking a place to stay for two days.

You mean the government still bans religions in Belgium?

I thought government interference in religion was a thing of the past in Europe. That's why I was surprised when you called Jehovah's Witnesses a "forbidden sect."

I have no idea what that page about evolution vs. creationism has to do with this discussion.

Just a link astumbled on recently.
I did not call JW forbidden, I asked. I could not find info on it so I guess they are not forbidden (yet).
There is only interference in religious matters when there are complaints. I remember reading about complaints against JW by former members about breaking up families and marriages and brainwashing their adepts.
Followers of a religion has to respect the law even if it is in conflict with their rituals.
Freedom ends where other's interests begin. In case of the JW they used to ring at my door on an early sunday morning what in my opinion should be forbidden. It is unsollicitated publicity and a violation of privacy.

Oh, please. "They woke me up Sunday so the government should ban them!" Just tell them you're not interested and they'll go away.

I tell them but they insist and come back year after year several times a year. Now I release the dogs.
Selling at the door is forbidden without license and they don't have it. So they violate the law.
Governement should ban them because they break marriages and families, they indoctrinate children to deny their parents. And much more:

Their doctrine kills people because they are not allowed to receive blood transfusions. It is a barbaric cult.
