Argentina has been going through a period of economic turmoil. But eventually it will emerge stronger.
I believe, as born again believers increases, the nation is poised to get better. On earth many things will remain imperfect, unfair, and unjust. But that does not preclude improvements. Right now God is shaking the corrupt political and economic foundations of the nation; so a better one could take place. Better political accountability. Better economic transparency. etc. God has promised to shake everything that can be shaken (Hebrews 12:25-29). Only what is permanent can endure. Saddam Hussein has been shaken. Just an example. |

I'm not Argentine and I have not been there. But I have heard and read about this nation since some years back.
I heard people there are cultured and nice there. With a stable government and lots of honest people in power, the nation can turn around and be stronger. |

I think with Nestor Kirchner in power things at least economically are looking better. More jobs are being created and the tourism industry especially is expanding. Apparentely many Argentines are returning home now that the economy is looking better! It just goes to show that Argentina definately has something if so many people are returning. However Argentina still has a long way to go. It needs foreign capital to develop it even more. Its still third world and even though things are getting better all the time debts still need to be paid and poverty needs to keep decreasing. But overall a bright future!

Economic Instability
Hi Adam,
I dont think Economic instability is any problem for foreign travellers going their. Argentina compared to Brazil, Paraguay, Peru or anywhere else in South America is very safe. Apparentely in Buenos Aires crime is on the increase but is still safer than London or Los Angeles! Also even if there are any more problems-which is unlikely because the Kirchner administration is sorting things out, violence is not likely to be directed at foreign travellers but at the corrupt politicians.
