Smile

Hi, I am an American (United States) student here in Sweden for 3 months. I am living with a Swedish family and I help at a school for 7 to 9th students with English 5 days a week.

I have a big paper I need to write for this program I am here for and I would like any suggestions or input. I need to write a 10 page paper. I need to analyze and report on the effect of learning another language on the development of cross cultural understanding. We are asked to think about this question. What are the students learning about my culture and society as they learn English?

I have some ideas on what to include like stereotypes of Sweden and the U.S., and differences in the school system.

Any suggestions and input would be greatly appreciated.

It would be great to hear from some Swedes on stereotypes they have about the United States because I know there are many.

Thanks

Smile I have an idea

I used to live in Sweden I am 13 now and live in AMerica, so I know the diffence between the school. ANd a big difference is that you don't have to pay for school in Sweden even colledge, which is a big deal.

Hope this gives you some idea for your paper

And arrogant, ignorant, republican gun toting cowboy megalomaniacs with gigantic inferiority complex are one of the more popular ones.
