Cool

HI,

Im wanting to travel to Stockholm in Feb/Mar 2005. Would this be too cold? The reason I am coming is not only to visit but to bring with me my debut album of electronic music and hopefully to immerse myself in the nitelife/culture of sweden and neighbouring countries. I am from Perth, Western Australia and wanted to come to sweden ever since I was young. Not that I'm old!

Any info would be much apprec.
Cheers,
Laura.S

How cold is cold?

Well,

Im from Australia, but Im quite hardy......I lived in Bristol, England winter for 8 months, that was pretty cold.
Are most things shut down during this time? Otherwise I'll try and go between May-Sept.

Cheers,
Laura

Unless you are up for a winter holiday, then I would say that the best time to visit Stockholm is in June. If it is real winter (i.e. cold and snowy), then Stockholm can be truly beautiful in the winter. However, since you are comming all this way, IŽd say that summer is the best pick.

Wink Come in the summer

Hi there Laura. I really advise you to come in the summer to Sweden, I should know couse I just lived in Melbourne for 2 years and I loved it, eaven if the weather was changing all the time 4 seasons in one day! But when I cam back to Sweden I was cold all the time in the winter. Also people in my country are so in to them self durning the dark winter months, everyone I spoken too who have been to sweden for visit in both summer and winter, say that its like viseting 2 diferent countries. Sumer time, swedes love the sun and everyone are in the parks, drinking beer on outside patios in restaurnats. Stockholm is surrounded by water and is beautiful in summer time. Also if in stockholm you have to go to the old town of stockholm, beautiful architecture.

Good luck, I would love to come to perth, I now live in Canada but one day in 3-4 years me and my canadian man is comming back to Australia and them I will go to perth, only went to Melbourne, sydney and Adelaide.

Have a nice tripp Linnea
