There are a great number of hotels scattered throughout Peru offering a range of accommodation styles and comforts. The majority of hotels offer a three-star service but there are a few more elaborate and expensive ones which offer five-star service. The buildings themselves can be modern glass monolithic structures or more charming authentic Peruvian architecture. There are also a few lodges which offer more rustic accommodation and are nestled in the countryside or on the edges of forests or jungles. If you are planning to travel to Peru it is usually a good idea to bring insect repellant. Also, many foreigners might find the humidity and heat (in some months) a bit extreme so checking to see if your hotel has air-conditioning is never a bad idea. Almost all the hotels are quite reasonably priced and well positioned to afford visitors easy access to transport or sights.
